Brian May, né le 19 juillet 1947 à Hampton Hill (Angleterre), au sud-ouest de Londres, est un musicien, chanteur, auteur-compositeur et astrophysicien britannique, cofondateur et guitariste du groupe de rock Queen avec le batteur Roger Taylor et le chanteur Freddie Mercury. Ils sont ensuite rejoints par le bassiste John Deacon.

Brian May a auparavant fait partie du groupe Smile avec Roger Taylor. Il a composé nombre de succès de Queen tels que We Will Rock You, I Want It All, Save Me, Who Wants to Live Forever, Tie Your Mother Down, Hammer to Fall, White Queen (As it Began), The Show Must Go On, Now I'm Here, ou encore No-One but You. Il utilise une guitare électrique qu'il a fabriquée lui-même, appelée Red Special.

Considéré comme un guitar hero, May est élu meilleur guitariste de rock de tous les temps par les lecteurs de Guitar World Magazine, et est successivement désigné 39^e puis 26^e du classement des cent plus grands guitaristes de tous les temps selon Rolling Stone établi en 2003 et 2011. Il est anobli par le roi Charles III en 2023, devenant Sir Brian Harold May.

Anita, Lady May (born 29 April 1949), known as Anita Dobson, is an English actress and singer. She is best known for playing landlady Angie Watts in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from the show's inception in 1985 until 1988. She achieved a top five hit in the UK singles chart in 1986 with "Anyone Can Fall in Love", a vocal version of the theme music of EastEnders, and briefly reprised her role for the show's 40th anniversary in 2025.

Dobson's other television roles include Cath in the 1989 ITV sitcom Split Ends and Mrs Flood, later revealed to be the Rani, in Doctor Who (2023–present). In 2003, she was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Actress for the National Theatre production of Frozen. She has also starred in the West End as Mama Morton in the musical Chicago (2003) and Gertrude in Hamlet (2005), making her RSC debut in the 2012 revival of The Merry Wives of Windsor. Her film appearances include Darkness Falls (1999) and London Road (2015).
